Ryan Reynolds is fiercely supportive of Blake Lively, weeks ahead of her bombshell "It Ends with Us" trial.
The "Deadpool" star praised his wife in rare comments about the case against the film's director and her costar, Justin Baldoni, saying the public doesn't know the full story.
"You really see kind of the illusion behind so much of this stuff, you know? Digital life versus real life," Reynolds told Willie Geist on "Sunday Today" April 19. "I'll just say, I've never in my life been more proud of my wife. People have no idea what's really going on."
Lively, 38, has filed a sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit against Baldoni and his producing partners, Wayfarer Studios. The December 2024 lawsuit alleged the "It Ends with Us" director engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct on and off set and helped orchestrate a smear campaign against Lively. Baldoni – through his own legal team – has criticized Reynolds' arrogance and "exploitation of his enormous power in Hollywood."
In early April, a federal judge dismissed 10 of Lively's 13 legal claims due to a jurisdiction issue.

The remaining breach of contract, retaliation and aiding and abetting in retaliation claims – based on allegations of organizing an online campaign that cast Lively in a negative light – will proceed to trial, scheduled to begin May 18.
Reynolds, 49, who has been married to Lively since 2012 and shares four children with the "Gossip Girl" alum, praised her "integrity" through the turmoil.
"I've just never in my life been more proud of someone with that level of integrity that brings that with them and carries that with them in everything that they do," he said.
Reynolds has previously spoken out against Baldoni's counterclaim against the couple, admonishing the director in scathing legal memorandums. The March 2025 files said Reynolds was being attacked "for being the man Mr. Baldoni has built his brand pretending to be" and "a man who is 'confident enough to listen' to the woman in his life."
