President Donald Trump is scheduled to deliver a national address at 9 p.m. ET on April 1, 2026, offering an update on the United States’ involvement in the Iran conflict, which he says may conclude within two to three weeks.

With the U.S. close to achieving its military objectives and an end to the war in sight, according to President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Trump is expected to "provide an important update on Iran," on Wednesday, April 1.

"TUNE IN: Tomorrow night at 9PM ET, President Trump will give an Address to the Nation to provide an important update on Iran," White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a post on X Tuesday evening.

The address to the nation comes after Trump shared an updated timeline for the end of the war on Tuesday, telling reporters in the Oval Office that he expects it to be over within "two weeks, maybe three."

"I would say within two weeks, maybe, two weeks, maybe three," Trump said when asked about how much longer it would take for the war to end. "I think within two or three weeks, we’ll leave. There’s no reason for us to do this."

Here's what to know about Trump's address and how to watch.

What time is Trump's national address tonight?

President Trump is expected to address the nation at 9 p.m. ET on Wednesday, April 1.

Why is Trump addressing the nation?

Trump is expected to "provide an important update on Iran" in his address, according to Leavitt.

The announcement comes as Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio both indicated the U.S. will soon end its part in the Iran war, the fight the White House launched Feb. 28.

"Within two weeks, maybe, two weeks, maybe three," Trump told reporters at the Oval Office Tuesday afternoon. "We can see the finish line," Rubio said on Fox News.

Trump’s move to address the public also comes as some two-thirds of Americans say they want the administration to end the fighting, even if it means the nation does not achieve the president’s goals, a new Reuters/Ipsos poll found.
